Faye Griffin

Faye Griffin, age 86, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Dunn officiating.  Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Faye was born August 31, 1935 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of Lucille Buie and Herman Buie. She worked at Jack Winter Factory. She retired after 25 years of service at the Bainbridge State Hospital. She is Methodist by faith. Survivors include her daughter, Cinda Butler (Bruce); grandchildren; Kandra Brown (Phillip), Jadd Butler (Piper), Kebo Chapman (Mary Anna), Dena Dixon (Jamye), Ginny Raker, and Jenaye Chapman; and 11 great-grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her children, Kathy Chapman and Danny Josey; her first husband, Cecil Josey; and her siblings, Ray Buie and Juanita Cook.
