Finea Simpson

Finea "Granny" Simpson, 95, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Grubbs and Rev. Richard Dobson officiating. Interment will follow at Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene Cemetery with Jacky Grubbs, Bobby Grubbs, Corky Grubbs, John Smith, Ray Staples, and Scott Messer serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010, prior to the funeral service at Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene. Finea "Granny" Simpson was born April 30, 1915 in West Green, GA, the daughter of Dave Roberson and Lena Scalf Roberson. She was a homemaker and member of Bainbridge First Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Simpson; her son, Harold Dean Adams; and her daughter, Amy Hawkins. Survivors include her sons, Jerry Adams of Davisboro, GA, James Adams of Bainbridge, GA, and Robert Hancock of Bainbridge, GA; her daughters, Mary Alice Smith of Cairo, GA, and Betty Edmonson of Americus, GA; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-great-grandchildren.
