Florene Howell Wells, 79, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania Cemetery with Corey Wells, Brad Wells, Al Murkerson, Brian Donalson, Steven Wells and Jody Wells serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Wells was born March 14, 1929, in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of George W. Howell and Delcie Jane Gray Howell. She was a graduate of Faceville High School and retired with over twenty years of service as corporate secretary with Stone's. She was a former member of Sylvania Methodist Church and was most recently a member of Faceville Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wells. Survivors include her son, Tony Wells and his wife Gail of Bainbridge, GA; her daughter, Debra Lane of Donalsonville, GA; two grandsons, Corey Wells and Brad Wells; and one great-granddaughter, Zoe Wells.
