Frances Crozier

Frances Higgins Crozier, 89, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Phoebe - Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. The visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church in Ft. Gaines, GA. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Walter Flint officiating. Interment will follow at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Crozier was born May 1, 1919 in Rome, GA, the daughter of Charles H. Higgins and Hassie Rose Davis Higgins. She was a graduate of the Martha Berry Schools in Rome, GA, Young Harris Junior College, and Georgia College for Women in Milledgeville, GA. She taught school until she married and moved to Bainbridge, GA where for over 50 years she was a homemaker and a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thomas "Dick" Crozier, Jr. in 1997. Survivors include three sons, Richard T. Crozier, III and wife Frances of Blakely, GA, William H. "Bill" Crozier and wife Pam of Manchester, TN, and Harry W. Crozier and wife Beth of Blakely, GA; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
