Frances Maples

Frances Mills Stoutamire Maples, 94, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Bainbridge Healthcare. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ed Harrell officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Mrs. Maples was born May 13, 1918 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Clifford Thomas Mills and Mary Jane Brock Mills. She was a graduate of Climax High School, was a homemaker, and was a member of Mars Hill Christian Church. Survivors include her son, Gerald Stoutamire of Tallahassee, FL; her sister, Mary Dollar of San Jose, CA; her grandchildren, G. H. "Hamp" Stoutamire, Jr. and his wife, Tania, and Chris Stoutamire and his wife, Lisa, all of Tallahassee, FL; and her great-grandson, Sterling. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Malcolm Stoutamire and her second husband, Clyde E. Maples; her brother, Quinton Mills; and her sister, Bertie Martin.
