Frances Morris

Frances Jones Morris, 95, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Habersham Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ken Freshour officiating. The graveside service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on July 31, 2012 at Brinson Cemetery with her grandsons serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Morris was born September 1, 1916 in Brinson, GA, the daughter of A. Y. Jones and Pearl Smith Jones. She retired from Coats & Clark with 25 years of service and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toccoa, GA. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Davis and her husband, Frank, of Indian Land, SC, Judy Carson and her husband, Charles, of Roanoke, VA, Julia Curtis of Murphy, NC, and Debbie McFarlin and her husband, Doug, of Toccoa, GA; her son, Abner Morris and his wife, Dorothy, of Albany, GA; her 12 grandchildren; her 25 grandchildren; and her 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, J. O. Morris. Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
