Mrs. Frances Rowe, 97 years of age, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012, in Tucson, Arizona. Services for Mrs. Rowe will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Danny Shepard will officiate. Interment will be held in Oak City Cemetery. Frances Mitchell was born September 23, 1914 in Duval County, Florida, to George Mitchell and Carrie Moseley Mitchell. She was married to William H. Rowe, Jr.; who preceded her in death. Frances was employed by Western Auto in Bainbridge for 35 years. She retired in 1984. Mrs. Rowe lived with her daughters in Columbia, South Carolina and Tucson, Arizona, until her death. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. There she taught Sunday School in the 4-5 year old group for 54 years. She loved her boys and girls very much. Frances Mitchell Rowe is survived by her daughters, June Lloyd of Tucson, Arizona and Patricia Pender of Columbia, South Carolina; sister, Mary McCall of Gainesville, Florida; grandchildren, Lynn Howard of Tucson, Diane Lloyd of Flagstaff, Arizona, Richard (Nathalie) Lloyd of Salzburg, Austria, Ken (Leigh) Lloyd of Roosevelt, Utah, Rodney (Candi) Pender of Beaufort, South Carolina, Troy (Rebecca) Pender of Irmo, South Carolina, and Tony (Maria) Moon of Indiana; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and faithful companion, Billy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Betty Mitchell, and grandson, George M. Pender, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, P. O.
