Frances Wilson Taylor, 92 of Tallahassee FL, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Heritage HealthCare Center in Tallahassee, FL. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Calvin Arnold officiating. Frances was born September 17, 1919 in Bellwood, AL, the daughter of Gerome D. Wilson and Lonnie T. Sconyers Wilson. She was a 1937 graduate of Seminole High School. She was the Office Manager/Payroll Clerk for Williamson Dickie Manufacturing Company in Bainbridge for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1989. She was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church serving as Sunday School teacher and Bible School teacher until she moved to Tallahassee in 2005. She served as president of the Lake Carroll neighborhood association for many years and was a member of the Lake Seminole Lions Club. She loved gardening, reading, visiting friends and family and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. Survivors include her two daughters, Melanie Taylor Booker of Tallahassee, FL, and Melissa Taylor Rhyne of Creedmoor, NC; her son, Jack D. Taylor and his wife, Georgia, of Lake Seminole, GA; her grandchildren, Amy Booker Rodman and her husband, Chris, of Tallahassee, FL, Brett Booker Mendonca and her husband, Jason, of Smyrna, GA, Stacy Rhyne Smith and her husband, Brooks, of Raleigh, NC, Laura Taylor Spencer and her husband, Bill, of Fort Worth, TX, and Scott E. Taylor and his wife, Christy, of Rosebud, AR; her three great-granddaughters, Caroline Booker, Emma Rodman, and Evelyn Smith; her three great-grandsons, Ethan Mendonca, Aidan Smith, and Brady Taylor; her sister, Mary Ruth Peeples of Albany, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
