Frank N. Jones, Sr., 75, of the Oak Grove Community, formerly of Cordova, AK and Franklinton, LA, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2009 at his residence. The memorial service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Oak Grove Christian Church with Rev. Scott Messer and Rev. Lindsay Gay officiating. He was a graduate of Miami Jackson Senior High School and served in the United States Air Force. He appeared on ABC's Wide World of Sports, The Agony of Defeat and inspired an invention to assist with brain surgery. Survivors include his son, Frank N. Jones, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Cordova, AK; two daughters, Diane Boone of Green Cove Springs, FL and Tina Pruett and her husband Milton of Pompano Beach, FL; his sister Debbie; six grandchildren, Nikki, Christopher, Michael, Jessie, Jackie and Jayme; his special friend and caregiver, Kitty Stewart and his loving companion, Pepper.
