Frank Mitchell

Frank E. Mitchell, Jr., 85, of Lake Placid, FL, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011. The celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home with full military honors. The graveside memorial service will be held at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Climax, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Folds of Honor Foundation, 5800 N. Patriot Drive, Owasso, OK 74055. Frank was born February 28, 1926 in Vero Beach, FL, the son of Mr. Frank E. Mitchell Sr. and Ms. Janie Dixon. He was a World War II and a Korean War veteran, serving in both, the United States Army and United States Air Force. Frank was a truck driver for many years driving for the dairy industry and spent the last five years as a driver for Sun Ridge Harvesting in Lake Placid. He came to Lake Placid in 1990 from Naples, FL. He was raised Southern Baptist. Survivors include his children, Chuck Malool of Denver, CO, Frank E. Mitchell III of Tulsa, OK, Murphy Mitchell and his wife, Callie, of Scottsdale, AZ, Toni Ison and her husband, Stefan, of Naples, FL, Mary Malool, Carol Ruano, and Jennifer Canevari and her husband, Louis, all of Lake Placid, FL; his siblings, Kenneth Mitchell and Freddie Sampson, both of California; and his nine grandchildren. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dolly and his sister, Catherine.
