Frankie Bowen

Funeral services for Mrs. Frankie Boyett Bowen, age 48 of Climax, GA, will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Climax Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Weaver and Rev. Steve Poppell officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery in Climax with James Brock, Charles Harrell, David Bowen, Pat Gillespie, Kent Bowen, Danny Harrison and Bobby Harrell serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Potter Street Elementary School. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Climax Baptist Church. Frankie was the daughter of Christine Barber Boyett and the late W. F. Franklin Boyett. She lived in Decatur County all of her life and graduated from Bainbridge High School. She received her two year degree at Bainbridge College was a member of Phi Theta Kappa was on the National Dean's list. She worked at Potter Street Elementary School as a paraprofessional. Frankie was a member of the Living Hope Faith Center in Cairo. She loved to read, loved her family, was a giving person and enjoyed living in the country. Survivors are her husband Dennis Bowen of Climax; two sons Frank Bowen of Atlanta and Preston Bowen of Albany; her mother Christine Barber Boyett of Climax and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her father W.F. "Franklin" Boyett.
