Gary Leonard Greene, 59, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church II with Pastor Jimmy Hooks officiating. Interment will follow at New Home Free Will Baptist Church II Cemetery with Brian Dupree, Hutch Hutchinson, Cliff Boyd, Russell Dodson, Will Phillips, and Justin Dupree serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday, October 6, 2013. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Home Free Will Baptist Church II, c/o Beverly Cumbie 496 Cumbie Rd., Climax, GA 39834. Mr. Greene was born August 4, 1954 in Bainbridge, GA. He was a graduate of Darton College and was a pipefitter for many years. Survivors include his children, Stephanie Dupree and her husband, Brian, of Crawfordville, FL, Dana Greene Hutchison and her husband, Hutch, of Gray, GA, and Heather Greene Boyd and her husband, Cliff, of Tallahassee, FL; his sister, Dale McDonald of Climax, GA; his mother, Dathalean Pollock Parrish and her husband, Oliver, of Climax, GA; his grandchildren, Cara Boyd, Bryce Boyd, Nicole Allen, Hannah Allen, Austin Hutchison, and Brent Hutchison; and his great-grandson, Caydence Gray. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Lamar Greene, and his father, William Leonard Greene.
