Gary Larson

Gary Edward Larson, 71, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Gary Edward Larson was born December 29, 1946 in Kingsford, MI, the son of Charles Edward Larson and Teresa Fillion Larson. Gary lived the last 40 years in Decatur County where he and his wife, Opal Clinton Larson, made their home. He retired from Decatur County Road Department. Gary was a Christian by faith. Described as a devoted man with a big heart, no one would argue that his grandchildren brought him the most joy. He enjoyed doing what he could for them never asking for anything in return. Gary was a hard worker and yet always willing to give away whatever he felt was needed to help someone else. Cupcake and T-Bone, Gary's dogs, were his constant companions and enjoyed many adventures through the years. Survivors include his seven stepchildren; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Michael Larson and Carol Larson, both of Michigan. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Clinton Larson; and his siblings, Bernidine Larson and Linda Larson.
