Mr. Gary “Dwain” Sellars, age 75, of Bainbridge, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 11. 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida. A visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 5:00-7:00 pm, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Dwain will be buried privately in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gary Dwain Sellars was born March 20, 1951, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Oscar Sellars and Mabel Mills Sellars. He was a talented machinist. Dwain and his dear wife, Teresa Hooks Sellars, were married for 41 years. Dwain enjoyed motorcycles and classic cars. He loved to go fishing and always wanted a dog with him. Dwain loved his family deeply and will be sorely missed.
Dwain Sellars is survived by his wife, Teresa Hooks Sellars; siblings, Marlene (Lulu) Ingram, Kyle Sellars, and Faye Kosmond; children, Chasity Hall (John) and Garon Sellars (Ashley); grandchildren, Ashley Vicknair (Greg), Philip Ponder, Charlie Kate Sellars, and Fisher Sellars; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and siblings, Al Sellars, Steve Sellars, Rodney Sellars, and Frances Newman.
