Gary Walsingham

Mr. Gary Earl (Griz) Walsingham, age 66, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, in Cairo, Georgia. No public services will be held, per Gary's request. Gary Earl Walsingham was born in Cairo to Willard Walsingham and Hazel Cain Walsingham, April 15, 1954. He and his siblings were raised in Cairo, where he graduated from Cairo High School. Gary was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He retired from the Florida Department of Highway Safety. Gary was a life member of the Harley Owners Group and the N.R.A. He was generous, kind, just a good person and good friend. Gary will be missed by his family and many, many friends. Gary Walsingham is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Willard Z. (Skeet) and Clara Walsingham of Leander, Texas; Stephen Johnson, his wife, Tabitha, and their daughter Trinity (who Gary considered his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Patricia W. Thompson and Elizabeth W. (Libby) Maxwell.
