Gayle McFaden Kidd, 65, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heritage Baptist Church, 3065 Hwy 297A, Pensacola, FL 32533.Gayle was born March 15, 1952, the daughter of William P. McFaden and Reva Roland McFaden. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1969, and attended Florida State University. She was a retired case worker with the State of Florida Department of Family and Children Services, having worked in Tallahassee and Pensacola. She was a very active member of Heritage Baptist Church in Pensacola before moving back to Bainbridge where she joined Grace Church. Gayle requested that attendees at her funeral wear colorful and casual clothing. She expresses again her deep appreciation to everyone for each kind deed or expression. To her family, church family, friends, and total strangers who helped her, thank you for your love and support. Her last writing was: "God truly blessed me; how could I have possibly asked for anything more?"Survivors include her husband, Douglas Kidd of Lynchburg, VA; her son, Dallas Burke and his wife, Celeste, of Bainbridge, GA; and her sister, Mary McFaden of Crawfordville, FL.
