George Emery Anweiler, 70, of Tallahassee, passed away Wednesday, July 25, at Margaret Dozier Hospice House at Big Bend Hospice. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Pat, two sons, Brian of Alexandria, Virginia, and Bobby (Lisa) and granddaughter, Hannah of Tampa and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother, and many loving aunts and uncles. Born in Akron, Ohio, on September 18, 1941. George worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company for 21 years. After moving to Tallahassee in 1981, he was employed by Montgomery Ward Automotive and Palmer-Harrell Buick as a service advisor until his retirement in 2002. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 28, from 1:00-2:30pm at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2317 Bannerman Road, Tallahassee, where he was a member. Services will follow at 3:00pm.
