George Robert "Bob" Barnard, 74, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his residence. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Medley and Elder Ester Watson officiating. The Penney-Lambert Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Miles Youth Building. Bob was born September 25, 1939 in Sycamore, GA, the son of George Thomas Barnard and Evelyn Hammond Barnard. He was a graduate of Albany High School, Class of 1959, a retired meat market manager, and an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Penney-Lambert Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Martha McCrary Barnard of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Robby Barnard and his wife, Susie, of Tallahassee, FL; Robby's children, Trey Barnard and his fiancé, Jami Green, Mandy Barnard, and Luke Barnard; his daughter, Vicky Barnard Lewis and her husband, Rick, of Bainbridge, GA; Vicky's children, Jackson Lewis and Hanna Lewis; and his sister, Annette Hilton of Sylvester, GA.
