George R. "Dilly" Dillard, Jr., 60, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Bible Believers Fellowship Church on Blountstown Highway in Tallahassee, FL with Dr. Dennis Young officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Brinson, GA at 4:00 p.m. with Billy King, Edwin King, Bubba Chason, Allen Cox, Jimmy Slocomb and Charles Perry serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bible Believers Fellowship Church, prior to the funeral service. George was born June 28, 1949 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of George Robert Dillard and Omie Lillian Perry Dillard. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1967 and a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Class of 1972. He was Director of Human Resources for the Florida Bar Association in Tallahassee, a member of Bible Believers Fellowship Church and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Tristan. Survivors include his wife of thirty-four years, Linda King Dillard of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter, Lindsay Kathryn Dillard-Harvell and her husband Casey of Tallahassee, FL; his grandson, Tristan Wayne Harvell; his aunt, Sally Perry Cox of Bainbridge, GA; three nieces, Michael Anne McNair-Tillitt, Sunnie Chason and Abbie Chason; his nephew, Stephen McNair and several cousins.
