George Sheppard

Mr. George Sheppard died Friday, May 20, 2011, in Cairo, Georgia. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011, graveside, at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Georgia. Rev. Gerald Vinson, officiating. George Hayes Shepard was born September 19, 1956 in Cairo, Georgia to Malcolm Hayes and Mary Lee Johnson Sheppard. He was employed at Vinson Plumbing and Electric Company. George believed in working hard and loved his girls. He is survived by his daughters: Georgia Fay Sheppard Huffman of Cairo, Georgia and Cheyenne Sheppard of Dothan, Alabama; brothers and sisters: Ann Glover and Jean Marshall of Cairo, Dewey Sheppard of Dothan, Rose Self and Nora Darus of Cairo; grandchildren: Matt Land of Ft. Hood, Texas, Alaney Truitt of Cairo and Luther Lee Adkins, Jr. of Albany, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Sheppard.
