A dual memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 22, 2021, at Tallahassee National Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida, to honor Gerry and his wife, Eileen Patricia Davis. Gerry will receive full military honors. Gerry Lane Davis was born July 29, 1946 in Thomasville, Georgia, to Ramsey Lee Davis and Pauline West Davis. Gerry graduated from Thomasville Central High School, class of 1966. Gerry was talented in many areas. He worked as a contractor to sell and set tile products in homes. He was an artist with stone products. Gerry restored civil war monuments and headstones. Loving to fish, he even carved and hand made fishing lures. Gerry was an avid gardener and a huge FSU fan. He was a lifelong member of New Shiloh Baptist Church. Gerry honorably served in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life, Eileen Davis. They enjoyed spending all their time together. Gerry Lane Davis will be so greatly missed by his many friends and the family that loved him so very much. Mr. Gerry Lane Davis of Cairo, Georgia, age 71, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Gerry Lane Davis is survived by his children, Patti Kelso and husband, Brian of Spanish Fort, Alabama, John Griffin of Valdosta, Georgia, and Charlotte Baggley and husband, Jeff of Tampa, Florida; siblings, Margaret Gualiardo of Cairo, Jim Davis and wife, Pam of Douglasville, Georgia, and Mildred Hall of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Brad Kelso, Cameron Hornbuckle, Cameron Baggley, Zoey Mae Baggley, Sammy Baggley, and Xavier Baggley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lt. Commander R. L. Davis, Jr., US Navy.
