Glenn Echols Johnson, 68, of Goochland, Virginia, passed away on November 6, 2012. Glenn was the son of the late Pete and Alice Johnson of Bainbridge, Georgia, and brother of the late Larry Johnson of Clarksville, Tennessee. Glenn graduated from Bainbridge High School and Florida State University. Glenn first served in Special Operations in the United States Air Force; and then, as Chief Warrant Officer and pilot in the United States Army. He continued his career in the aerospace industry as a senior analyst and advisor for Boeing Helicopters, working and living in the Middle East, California, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Alabama. Glenn loved his family and friends. He was a legendary bass fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and writing about life in the South. Glenn spent much of his retirement time researching his family's heritage and visiting many battle sites, including Saylers Creek, where his ancestors served in the Georgia Volunteer Infantry. Glenn is survived by his wife Sharran and sisters Marilyn, Cheryl, Alacia Anne, and Ellawaine.
