Grace Blocker

Grace Thomas Blocker, 82, of Climax, GA, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at Pine Forest Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy McNair and Rev. Mike Allan officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Murry Bearden, Wade Faircloth, Robert Knighton, Kevin Enfinger, Dean Blocker, John Griffin and Greg Haire serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Blocker was born July 10, 1925 in Miami, FL, the daughter of Howard Mays Thomas and Lillie Mae Fuller Thomas. She was homemaker and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, Golden Agers and Voices of Love. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alford Julian Blocker, her brother, Herman C. Thomas and her sister, Eunice Mihlfeld. Survivors include four sons, Jack Blocker of Ruston, LA, Howard Blocker and wife Karen of Houston, TX, Randy Blocker and wife Joy of Bainbridge GA and Edward Blocker and wife Becky of Owasso, OK; two daughters, Judy and husband Kelly Hardee of Natchitoches, LA and Elaine and husband Lamar Barbree of Bainbridge, GA; twenty grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
