Groover, 57, of Clearwater, FL, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015.The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.Gregory was born July 24, 1958 in St. Petersburg, FL the son of Wallace Aaron Groover and Carolyn Brock Groover. He was a graduate of Boca Ciega High School. In his early years, Gergory worked in retail at McCroy's. He traveled out west every summer and worked in all areas of the restaurant industry. Gregory especially enjoyed the summer memories he made with his grandparents, Bertha and Adolph Brock. In the winter months, he migrated back to St. Petersburg, FL to work at the Brown Derby. Gregory took pride in saying he was a native of St. Petersburg.Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Brock Groover; his sisters, Diann Alvin and her husband, Robert, of Bell, FL and Barbara Duffy and her husband, Frank, of St. Petersburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from Bainbridge, GA. Gregory was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Bertha and Adolph Brock, Sr. and James and Mary Groover.
