Gregory Keith Patronis, age 60, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Services for Mr. Patronis will be held Saturday, June 28, at 11:00 am, in the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home, 502 S. Scott Street, Bainbridge, Georgia. The Rev. Lynn Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00. The service will conclude in the chapel. Greg will be buried in Brock Cemetery.
Greg was born on January 30, 1965, in Tallahassee, Florida, to James Alvin Patronis and Nell Sadler Patronis Malphurs. He graduated from Godby High School. From sixth grade until he graduated, he was a talented member of the marching Cougars band. He could play any instrument and played them well. In his youth, he played in classic rock bands. He enjoyed tinkering with and riding motorcycles. From a small child, his father encouraged his love for golf. Greg was also a member of the Godby High School golf team.
Greg enjoyed being with his friends and singing karaoke. Greg worked in the printing business and was a talented carpenter and craftsman. He loved to refurbish furniture. He would take other people’s trash, redo it, and end with something exquisite. The decks and fences that he built were fabulous.
He was his mother’s yard man, pool boy, Mr. Fixit, and chief food taster. He was his mother’s shining light and the little brother of five, loving sisters. His family adored him, and he deeply loved them. Greg will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Greg is survived by his mother, Nell Malphurs of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Tamara “Nicole” Patronis; sisters, Debra P. Chatham of Greensboro, Florida, Donna Patronis of Mauriceville, Texas, Doreen P. Mroz (Jerz) of Houston, Texas, and Cheryl Patronis of Tallahassee, 15 nieces and nephews, and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
