Grimes Nalls

Grimes Nalls, age 93, of Brinson, Georgia, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022. The Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor James Williamson officiating.  Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distance of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Grimes was born Wednesday, August 29th, 1928 in Brinson, Georgia the son of Charlie C. Nalls and Nellie Jerusah Lovett Nalls.  He graduated from Brinson High School. Grimes worked at Farm Bureau for over 20 years.  He also worked as parts manager at Ford Motor Company in Bainbridge.  He was a deacon at Pine Grove Baptist Church where he spent his last years serving the Lord.  He also previously attended Calvary Baptist Church when he lived in Bainbridge.  Grimes loved Georgia Bulldogs, NASCAR, Bill Elliot, gardening, fishing, and his family.  He was a dedicated husband and father. Survivors include his children, DeWayne Nalls of Brinson, GA and Joyce Lodge (Robert) of Brinson, GA; grandchildren, Donna, Tracy, Travis, and Allen; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Nalls (Faye); and numerous nieces and nephews. Grimes was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene Nalls; and his siblings, Clarence, Chester, Carl, and Nell.
