Gwynn Fain Hart, 67, of Athens, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Emory University Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Dan Jessop officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery with Will Fain, Dave Fain, Clark Fain, IV, Dr. Josh Walker, Brad Akers, Denver Maddox, and Jack Maddox serving as active pallbearers. Box 1026, Donalsonville, GA 39845. Gwynn was born July 23, 1947 in Donalsonville, GA, the daughter of Mallie Clark Fain, Jr. and Annie Lee "Sue" Brunson Fain. She was a graduate of Seminole High School, Class of 1965, received her B.S. in Education and her M.S. in English from the University of Georgia, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was an accomplished basketball player and was on teams that won three state high school championships. Among her many beauty pageant titles are 1965 Miss Seminole County, 1965 Miss Georgia Southern, 1966 Georgia Peanut Princess, 1966 National Peanut Princess, 1967 Miss Pandora (University of Georgia), Miss Kentucky Fried Chicken, and the first Peach Bowl Queen in 1968. Survivors include her son, Will Hart and his wife, Elisa, of Columbus, GA; her brothers, Clark Fain and his wife, Lois, of Atlanta, GA, Billy Fain and his wife, Gloria, of Donalsonville, GA; Carl Fain of Donalsonville, GA, and David Fain and his wife, Myrvin, of Donalsonville, GA; and her grandchildren, Blakely Hart and William Hart.
