Mr. H. P. "Bo" Musgrove, 80, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Milton Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Attapulgus Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Bo was born January 21, 1929 in Baker County, GA, the son of Jay Musgrove and Prudence Akridge Musgrove. He graduated from Attapulgus High School and attended Georgia Tech. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a retired sales representative for Lawson Products. He attended Liberty Baptist Church and was a former member of Attapulgus Masonic Lodge, Hasan Shrine Temple, and Bainbridge Shrine Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sexton Musgrove. Bo was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was exceedingly kindhearted and generous, a true people person, and a great friend. He loved talking with people and was always quick with a joke or funny story. He loved to laugh. Survivors include his sons, Jay Musgrove of San Antonio, TX, Chet Musgrove of Calera, AL, and Phillip Thompson of McDonough, GA; his daughters, Christine M. Nichols, Deborah T. Burke, and Jackie T. Pope, all of Bainbridge, GA; and seven grandchildren.
