Dr. Hal Harris McNair, M.D., 86, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Betty Jean McNair, entered into rest on Monday, March 13, 2017 at his grandson's residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Dearing Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Brantley of Mt. Gillead Primitive Baptist Church officiating. A native of Fulton Co., Atlanta, GA., Dr. McNair was born on December 6, 1930. He was the son of Mr. Samuel Ollie McNair and Nancy Dickson McNair. Dr. McNair was a 1953 graduate of the University of Georgia, Doctorate of Pharmacy. He graduated in 1960 from The Medical College of Georgia, Doctor of Medicine. Dr. McNair was a member of the American College of Radiology.Survivors include two sons, Michael Harris NcNair (Brenda King McNair) and Patrick Rowe McNair (Marjory Claytor McNair); one daughter, Mary Jean McNair Suhor (Michael Suhor); nine grandchildren, Michael- Anne McNair Johnson, Stephen McNair(Jessica Thomas McNair), John Cato(Valerie Cato), Chris Cato (Amy Williamson Cato), Adam Cato(Kelsie Fitzgerald Cato), Katie Brown McCarthy(Matt McCarthy), Kyle Brown, Grace McNair Headman(Jeff Headman) and Caroline McNair; nine great grandchildren, Tyler Tillitt, Hagen McNair, Hastings McNair, Emma Cato, Anna Cato, Isabella Cato, Perry Cato, Patton Cato and Madelyn McCarthy.Dr. McNair was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Rowe McNair and his daughter, Cynthia Ann McNairPallbearers will be his grandsons, John Cato, Chris Cato, Adam Cato, Stephen McNair and Kyle Brown.If so desired, memorials may be made to the Augusta Rescue Mission, 526 Walker Street, Augusta, GA. 30901.The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Starling Funeral Home, 435 W.
