Mr. Harold A. (Hal) Clement, age 73 passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Bainbridge, GA with Dr. Pete Sharber and Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Randy Mitchell, John Rogers, Jerry Henry, Jerry Harrell, Hunter Mims, Larry Mims and Adam Boyett serving as active pallbearers. Tommy Wheeler Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home. Mr. Clement was born May 14, 1933 in Grants Pass, OR to the late Joseph Lee Clement and Merle Cart Clement. He graduated from Grand Pass High School, he served in the United States Air Force for eight years and married Martha Joe Sharber on December 19, 1954. He was an electrical engineer. He was a director of Three Rivers Credit Union and Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Tommy Wheeler Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Martha Sharber Clement of Bainbridge, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Hal Clement, Jr. and Cindy of Bainbridge, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Anne Clement Mims and Larry of Tuscaloosa, AL; one brother Joseph L. Clement, Jr.of Grants Pass, OR; three sisters, Evelyn Brown of Seattle, WA, Virginia Frye of Napa, CA, and Dorothy Becerra of Albuquerque, NM; and five grandchildren, Ashley Clement Boyett, Magen Clement, Hal Clement, III, Heather Mims and Hunter Mims.
