Harry Boyd

Mr. Harry Allen Boyd, 65, of Donalsonville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. A memorial service will be held graveside, at Colquitt City Cemetery, 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012. Harry Allen Boyd was born March 29, 1947, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to John Pat Boyd and Helen Grace Tipton Boyd. Mr. Boyd lived in this area all his life. He was a member of American Legion Post 165. The closest thing to a hobby he had was his grandchildren. They were his heart. Harry Allen Boyd is survived by his daughter, Charity Widner of Donalsonville; grandchildren, Lan and Ridge Widner of Donalsonville; brother, Paul M. Boyd and wife, Jeri of Birmingham, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pat Boyd and Helen Grace Tipton Boyd; wife, Janice McVay Boyd; son, Shawn Alan Boyd; brothers, Johnny Ben Boyd, Donnie Boyd, and Kenneth Boyd.
