Harry Muggridge

Harry K. Muggridge, 90, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 at his residence. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Phillips and Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Ronnie Halstead, Lowell Halstead, Jimmy McDuffie, Russell Boyd, Darrell Halstead, and Lynn Bennett serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Muggridge was born August 28, 1918 in Cairo, GA, the son of Charles Rieser Muggridge and Eula Lewis Muggridge. He was a retired mechanic and welder, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Thelma L. Muggridge of Bainbridge, GA; three daughters, Margaret Barrett and her husband William of Bainbridge, GA; Patricia Scobie and her husband Robert of Santa Clarita, CA, Gay Smith and her husband Gaines of St. Augustine, FL; two brothers, W. H. Muggridge of Macon, GA, and Bill Muggridge and his wife Gladys of Thomasville, GA; three sisters, Mary McDuffie, Merle Moore, and Joyce Pickens and her husband Frank, all of Cairo, GA; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
