Hector Zapata

Hector Zapata, 65, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at his residence. There will be a memorial service at Grace Church at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Church, 1302 Lake Douglas Road, Bainbridge, GA 39819. Mr. Zapata was born May 23, 1948 in New York, NY, the son of James and Inez Colon Zapata. He worked for several years as a hotel manager and was a member of Grace Church. Mr. Zapata was also a translator for the migrant health program. Survivors include his wife Evelyn Zapata of Bainbridge, GA; his children, Tara Malone (Donald), Tonya Rainey, Michael Jordan, Jason Jordan, Joseph Jordan, and Jessica Jordan; his brother, James Zapata; and his grandchildren, Terrence Pendleton, Rylan Pendleton, Jeada Jordan, Saniya Mitchell, Fred Rainey, and Chris Rainey. He was preceded in death by his son, James Zapata.
