Helen Lane Shrader, 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Burrell and Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment will follow at Cairo Cemetery with John Fudge, Curt Fudge, Sadi Hasona, James Fudge and Greg Player serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Shrader was born July 26, 1921 in Cairo, GA, the daughter of Perry Manning Baggett and Pearl Collins Baggett. She was a graduate of Cairo High School, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She worked for many years in the family business, Lane's Pharmacy, with her late husband, John H. Lane. Survivors include her husband of nineteen years, Wallace G. Shrader of Bainbridge, GA; her daughter, Mary L. Fudge and her husband James of Colquitt, GA and Nora L. Knowles and her husband David of Gulfport, MS; her son, Sadi Hasona of Bainbridge, GA; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Player, Curt Fudge, John Fudge, David Fudge, Courtney Knowles, Michael Knowles, Hema Hasona and Nour Hasona and four great-grandchildren.
