Helen S. Wells, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Bevels officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Wells was born May 17, 1928 in Milton, FL, the daughter of Herbert H. Simmons and Myrtle Luvinia Collins Simmons. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of God. Survivors include her husband, R.E. Wells, Jr., of Bainbridge, GA; her daughters, Joanna Dean of Hardaway, Chattahoochee, FL, Janie Brown and her husband Jackie of Bainbridge, GA, and Maxine Richards and her husband Arthur of Sneads, FL; her brothers, Rufus Simmons of Jamesville, NC, Robert Simmons of Milton, FL, and Roy Simmons of Milton, FL; his sister, Kathleen Couch of Detroit, MI; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
