Herbert D. Donalson, 67, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Freddie Wellborn and Pastor Wilford Minton officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Timmy Donalson, Billy Donalson, Micah Donalson, Mark Bracewell, Gary Wooten, Stanley Donalson, and Kenneth Kelley serving as active pallbearers. Tommy Donalson, Steve Brock, and Wesley Powell will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Donalson was born December 6, 1943 in Decatur County, GA, the son of Thomas Carter Donalson and Dattie Hutto Donalson. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1961 and was a farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Donalson was preceded in death by his brothers, T.C. Donalson Jr., Ernest Donalson, Marion Donalson and Jettie Donalson; and his sisters, Betty Kelley and Johnnie Mattie Donalson. Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Linda Cumbie Donalson of Bainbridge, GA; his son, Micah Donalson of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter, Tori and her husband Justin Gravlee of Bainbridge, GA; and his brothers, Alvin Donalson, Walter Donalson, James Donalson, and George Donalson; his four grandchildren, Andrew and Ethan Gravlee and Harley and Hallie Donalson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
