He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and Georgia Southwestern with a Bachelor of Science in music. He retired from Department of Family & Children Services as a case manager but also worked at Department of Labor for a number of years. Paul was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. Known to family and friends as passionate and stubborn, Paul was also a tightwad. He had a need to know every single detail and how those details worked together. He enjoyed music (Chicago was his favorite band) and shared his own talent playing the piano, singing, and playing the trumpet in the Bainbridge British Brass Band. Paul loved Star Trek, golf, working on his "little" farm, and "knocking around". Survivors include his life partner, Vickie Harrell; his daughter, Allyson Houston and her husband, Creig, of Georgetown, GA; and his siblings, Mark & Terry Ward, Bill & Lisa Ward, and Jackie Cooper. Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
