Herchel Alwyn Williams, 44, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, FL, after a long battle with brain cancer. The memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Christ Church Cemetery in Baker County, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL. He was born August 9, 1968, in Izmir, Turkey, the son of Joe and Eulouise Williams. He was married June 27, 1998 to Monica Schlitt in Springfield, IL. Herchel graduated with a Bachelors degree in history from Southern Illinois University and received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He proudly served as an Officer in the United States Army Reserves. Survivors include his wife, Monica Williams; his two children, Emma Williams and Britton Williams; his parents, Joe and Eulouise (Hamill) Williams; and his sister, Sunny Williams. Herchel is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rosa and Harry Williams, and his maternal grandparents, Herchel and Elizabeth Hamill.
