Homer Golden

Mr. Homer L. Golden, age 58, passed away early Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Golden will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. James Scarborough will be officiating. Homer Lacey Golden was born April 22, 1955 in Live Oak, Florida. Homer was a mechanic and truly loved that work. Mr. Golden was a fisherman. He loved spending time with his granddaughter and enjoyed playing his guitar. He will be missed by the family he loved so much. Homer L. Golden is survived by his wife, Charlotte Golden of Bainbridge, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Jenna Leigh McConnell and Joseph of Climax; granddaughter, Jayda Leigh McConnell; sisters and brother-in-laws, Grace Lee Covington and Jimmy of Valdosta, Georgia, Lois Marie Terrell and Lynwood, also of Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law, Martin Golden and Debbie of Pine Park, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Lee, mother, Christine Johnson Golden, and step-father, Delma Golden.
