Homer Harrell

Mr. Homer H. Harrell, Sr., 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009 in Collins MS. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at West Bainbridge Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Joe Baxter and Rev. Danny VunCannon officiating. Mr. Harrell was born October 6, 1921 in Donalsonville, GA, the son of John Judson Harrison Harrell and Elizabeth Jean Pope Harrell. He was U. S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a retired truck driver. He was a member of V. F. W. Post 4904 and American Legion Post 62. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Baxter Harrell. Survivors include his son, Homer H. Harrell, Jr. and his wife Pat of Bainbridge, GA; his daughter, Mary Donna Stokley and her husband Leroy of Ellisville, MS; and five grandchildren, Brent Johnson, Kimberly Harrison, Brad Johnson, Beau Harrell and Misty Lee Stokley Smith; and four great-granddaughters Taylor Harrison, Conner Harrison, Sydney Johnson, and Kailey Johnson.
