October 20, 1957 — March 12, 2024

Homer Lee (Bud) Tillman, Jr. passed away on March 12, 2024 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Services for Mr. Tillman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Pine Gove Baptist Church, 4103 Bay Rockyford Road, Moultrie Georgia. Rev. Stanley Norman will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Aden White, Steve Adams, Tres Collins, Michael Stalvey, Griffin Stalvey, Collier Collins, Sy Collins, and Gus Collins. Bud grew up in Quitman, Pelham and Bainbridge, Georgia As a teenager, he worked in the family business, Tillman Brothers Meat Packing Company. There, Bud and his cousin, Marty, had the job of weeding the fences, cutting the grass and washing out the live animal storage pens. Growing up on the Flint River, Bud had a passion for boating, water skiing and barefoot skiing. He worked for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers from 1976 until his retirement. Bud was a man of strong faith and will be missed by his family and many friends. Homer Lee (Bud) Tillman, Jr. was born October 20, 1957 in Pavo, Georgia to Homer Lee Tillman, Sr. and Doris Ophelia Richardson Tillman. He is survived by his sisters, Diane Lee Tillman Bamburg of Valdosta, Georgia, Dean Tillman Ivanoff of Panama City, Florida, Rosa Dell Tillman Collins (Marc) of Camilla, Georgia; nieces, Leigh C. Stalvey (Michael) of Camilla, Spring Rhinehart of Tallahassee, Florida; nephews Steve Adams (Joella) of Nashville, Georgia, Tres Collins (Samantha) of Camilla, Rodean Rhinehart (Caroline) of Tallahassee; great nieces, Garner Collins, Ivy Grace Rhinehart; great-nephews, Lee Adams (Mary Katherine and daughter Sally Scarlett), Ryan Adams (Kelsey and daughter Maren Saige), Aden White, Collier Collins, Sy Collins, Gus Collins, Asher Rhinehart, and Lincoln White. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, H. Lee and Doris R. Tillman; nephews Butch Adams, great-nephew Mason Rhinehart-White, brothers-in-law, Roy Bamburg, Robert Rhinehart; grandparents M.J. and Rosa L. Harvey Tillman, John W. and Lula Joiner Richardson, and a plethora of uncles, aunts, cousins extended relatives and treasured friends. Online condolences may be made at www.coxiveyfuneralhome.com .
