Howard Darley

Howard Darley, 88, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Delwood Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Hall and Rev. Doug Hall officiating, and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Delwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Brandon Baba, Durwood Pollock, Tommy Pollock, Jeff Winland, Butler Darley, and J. E. Foister will serve as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012 prior to the funeral service at the church. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Darley was born September 11, 1923 in Homestead, FL, the son of Warner Green Darley and Rena Pollock Darley. He was a veteran of the Untied States Air Force, serving during World War II. He was a general contractor and draftsmen for both residential and commercial buildings. Mr. Darley was a member of Delwood Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Judith Gibbs of Turlock, CA; his brothers, Donnie Darley of Palm Harbor, FL and Talmadge Darley of Homosassa, FL; his grandchildren, Lisa Baba, Bryan Darley, and Dena Darley; and his seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Darley was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lee Smith Darley; and his son, Stacey Darley.
