Howard Eugene Singleton was born October 13, 1951 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Oscar George Singleton and Clara Juanita Elders Singleton.  He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School.  Gene was a farmer, and after his injuries, he remained a farmer at heart all his life. Mr. Singleton loved bird watching and spending time in his garden raising flowers.  He was a people person and enjoyed spending time with children and animals.  He will always be remembered by those who loved him and a man with a big heart.  He never was one to complain despite his medical condition, and he lived by the slogan to "never give up."  He was a man that people really looked up to. Survivors include his sister Pamela Singleton and her husband, Roy, of Bainbridge, GA; his mother, Juanita Singleton of Bainbridge, GA; his aunts, Janice Singleton Worsham and her husband, Larry, and Diane Singleton, both of the Delwood Community; his nieces and nephews, Ryan Simpson and his wife, Lisa, of Cordele, GA, Jeff Simpson of Bainbridge, GA, Blake Simpson of Cordele, GA, and Ansley Simpson of Cordele, GA.  Mr. Singleton was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Dennis Singleton. The family would like to extend their warmest thanks to all of the caregivers through the years.
