Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Lee Jones Edwards, 76, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Harrell officiating. Interment will follow in Butler Cemetery in Grady County with Dustin Weeks, Johnny Godby, Jason Hicks, Murray White, Emmett Dollar Jr., and Brad Dodson serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Edwards was born August 15, 1932 in Decatur County, GA to the now late Leroy Jackson and Kate Thompson Dollar. She lived all of her life in Decatur County and was a homemaker. Mrs. Edwards loved to talk on the phone and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, GA. She is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Jones of Bainbridge, GA and Brenda Jones of Flowery Branch, GA; two sons; Marvin Jones and Randal Roy Jones both of Bainbridge, GA; two sisters; Marilyn Dollar Dodson of Climax, GA and Sarah Guthrie of Vidalia, GA; two brothers; Jack (Wife Geneva) Dollar and Emmett Dollar Sr., both of Climax, GA; three grandchildren; Debbie Weeks, Angie Hicks, and Renee Eakin; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marvin Z. Jones and Ray Edwards; and one infant son, Dewayne Jones.
