Inez Layton Green, 98, of Warm Springs, GA (formerly of Bainbridge, GA), passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Warm Springs Nursing Home. The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Ed Harrell officiating. Mrs. Green was born December 16, 1911 in Heard County, GA, the daughter of Homer C. Layton and Victoria King Layton. She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Loyd C. Layton and Garland Layton and her sister, Muriel Roberson. Survivors include two nieces, June Layton Dickerson of Vidalia, GA and Bonnie Layton Collier and her husband Bud of Manchester, GA; two nephews, Ben Layton and his wife Linda of Tallahassee, FL and Robin Roberson of Waverly Hall, GA; a stepdaughter, Linda Read of Arkansas; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
