Inez Sadler was born in Decatur County, Georgia on March 26, 1932, to Ira Bradford Sadler and Janie Glover Sadler. She was athletic and played on her high school basketball team.
On October 31, 1958, she married the love of her life, Abron Harrell. She and Abron were blessed with four children. Mr. Harrell died due to an accident in 1976. At that time, they had shared 18 years as husband and wife. Inez continued to wear her rings because she would remind you that she is still married, Abron just wasn’t here for this portion of their 78 years.
Inez was a caregiver. She sat with and cared for many aging family members and senior adult friends. Inez kept children in her home and was well loved and appreciated by the parents and children.
Since 1956 she has been a member of First Freewill Baptist Church Cairo. Not just a member but a Sunday School teacher and very active supporter. Mrs. Harrell served as church treasurer for over 40 years. She was a bit over 92 years of age when she decided to give up the job. She was deeply committed to sharing God’s love and message, always with a sweet smile. Inez Harrell will be deeply missed by her family and many, many friends.
Inez Harrell is survived by her children, Kenneth Lawayne Harrell (Diane) of Greenville, Alabama, Conrad Kelvin Harrell (Tamra) of Whigham, Georgia, Timothy Abron Harrell (Tammie) of Whigham and Samuel Lee Harrell (Selena) of Whigham; grandchildren, Kim Parker (Stephen), Ken Harrell (Lacey), Ben Harrell (Jessica), Jana Lanham (Brett), Talia Stewart (Michael), Dustin Harrell, Leighann Dukes (Brack), and Conrad Harrell; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Beth Harrell.
