Jack R. Connell, Sr., 67, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017.The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Calvary Assembly of God Cemetery with Rev. James Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home. Connell, Sr. was born September 23, 1949 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Henry Grady Connell and Sarah Rucia Scott Connell. When he wasn't farming you could find him enjoying the outdoors hunting or fishing. Jack's favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren teaching them valuable life lessons including sharing his passion for cooking.Survivors include his wife Dana Connell; his children, Candy C. Trawick and her husband, Reggie, J. Roy Connell, Jr. and his wife, Dana, Hank Connell and Brent Connell all of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Austin, Jeremy, Aaron, Sarah, Hanna, Hunter, Katlyn, Gage, Logan, Zoe, Dane, and Lynnlei; his brothers, Scott Connell and his wife, Martha of Bainbridge and Deese Connell and his wife, Carolyn, of Chattahoochee, FL. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Connell.
