Jack Davis

Mr. Jack Arthur Davis, age 53, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox Funeral Home. Jack Arthur Davis was born October 28, 1966 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. His parents, Arthur Wood Davis and Doris Pauline Setney Davis, have preceded him in death. Jack was married to Joy Ann Sykes Davis. He and Joy made their home in Climax, Georgia. Jack said his greatest accomplishment was accepting Jesus. He was a fine Christian man. "Jolly Jack" or "Smiley Jack" were his nicknames. He never met a stranger and shared his wonderful smile with everyone he met. Jack loved animals and children. He was deeply proud of his sons and loved his family with all his being. Jack Arthur Davis will be dearly missed by his family and many, many friends. Jack Arthur Davis is survived by his wife, Joy Ann Sykes Davis of Climax, Georgia; children, Jordan Austin Davis and Jared Andrew Davis of Climax; brother, James (Jim) Davis and wife, Teresa of Bainbridge, Georgia; aunt, Mary Ann Mellen and husband, Jim of Beaufort, South Carolina; brothers-in-law, William Davis Sykes, Jr. and Wayne Sykes; and several nieces and nephews.
