Jack Franklin

Jack Franklin, 83, of Seattle, WA passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Long officiating. Memorials may be made to Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1333 Old Eldorendo Road, Colquitt, GA. 39837. Mr. Franklin was born in Eldorendo, GA., the son of John and Matilda Whittaker Franklin. Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran and after his tour of duty was complete, settled in Seattle where he was self employed muffler mechanic. Fishing and hunting were his favorite pursuits and he traveled over much of North America to fish anytime he could. Mr. Franklin is survived by one sister, Annie Franklin Krause of Albany, GA. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Ruby Hall, John Franklin, Jr., Ralph Franklin, Harmon Franklin, Minnie Birdsong, Hattie Mae Newberry, Harvey Franklin, Perry Franklin, Chason Franklin, Albert Franklin and Thomas Franklin.
