Jack A. Starling, Sr., 87, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. C.D.T. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Union Free Will Baptist Church near Abbeville, AL with Rev. Danny Vun Cannon and Mr. Ronny Starling officiating, and will conclude in the church. His grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Union Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. C.D.T. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Union Free Will Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and was a retired millwright from the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant. Jack was a member of Union Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for several years. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Doris Townsend Starling of Bainbridge, GA; his sons, Jackie Starling and his wife, Sylvia, of Headland, AL, Ronny Starling and his wife, Patricia, of Climax, GA, and Mike Starling of Newville, AL; his daughter, Kay Livingston and her husband, Charlie, of Cyrene, GA; his grandchildren, Matt Starling, Derek Starling and his wife, Michelle, Joshua Starling and his wife, Kari, Townsend Livingston, and Mayo Livingston; and his great-grandchildren, Jordan Starling, Elizabeth Starling, Jackson Starling, Michael Starling, and Makayla Starling. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Starling; his brother, Leroy Starling; and his sister, Lucy B. Stuckey.
